What is Search Engine Optimisation?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO), is about increasing traffic and attracting new potentials clients/prospects to your website. Every day, millions of people use search engines (such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ananzi, etc...) to find information. To get your share of this traffic, your website need to be search engine friendly to ensure that it is easily found by search engines. The higher a website ranks on a search engine the more likely it is to be visited.

What is search Engine and how does it work?

A search engine is a program that you use to search for information or websites located around the world. You can look for information and websites by keywords. For example, if you want to search for a dressmaker in Jo’burg who specialised in eveningwear you would type in the search box ‘dressmaker Jo’burg evening’ and you would get a list of websites to visit (known as ‘search results’). You can then click on the addresses and be taken straight to the websites.

Should PPC (Adwords) and SEO be run together?

Certainly, it is definitely advisable to run PPC and SEO at the same time. Ideally, a PPC campaign should run first, to find the most profitable keywords to optimise for, then SEO.

How long until I start to see results?

SEO is a slow process, allow at least 3 months for PPC and 6 months for SEO to start seeing results. However, by the end of the first month you can expect some increment in back links. You will see that the website is gaining search engine visibility gradually.

What type of techniques do you use to achieve rankings?

We use on-page & off-page SEO techniques. In on-page, we create META tags, title, description, keyword tags, Alt image tags, fix the keyword density, install Google analytics, create three types of site maps, create robot text etc. In off-page we follow directory submission, search engine submission, article directory submission, PR hub/blog submission, forum posting, social media bookmarking, one way link building, reciprocal link building etc.

Can you guarantee that my website will get leads?

We cannot guarantee that your website will get leads. The leads you get depend on many factors such as market conditions. The leads our clients get varies. The longer your website is up, the more it saturates search results, and the more leads you should get.

What is a typical Return On Investment?

In SEO, we do not collect sales information from our client. We just find targeted keyword and try to achieve good traffic and result for the site. We also send detailed traffic report (mentioning no of visitors comes through SEO) to the client but do not ask the client regarding the sales they made from those traffic. So cannot calculate the ROI. Our clients verify the effectiveness of our SEO and take decision to continue/discontinue the service.

How can I keep track of the visitors to my website?

We will provide Web Traffic Analysis and Reporting, which are must-have tools for monitoring and tracking your website, allowing you to track how many people are viewing your website, where they are visiting from, on which pages they are leaving your site and the keywords they are typing to reach your website.
